The sanctuary consists of three areas. Brookside, the B Road area, and the Marsh. The first area is located off Rt 172. There is a large wooden Marsh Sanctuary sign at the entrance. This is where the Brookside Ampitheater and the Brookside cottage is located. The sanctuary naturalists' home is located here. The second area is located off Sarles Street with the entrance to the parking area on B Road. Using the "B Road, Mt. Kisco, NY" address in your GPS will take you there. This is where the community garden, the activity fields, the old horse barn, and most of the trails are located. The caretakers home is located here. There is a port-a-potty by the parking lot in this area. The third area is the 'marsh' that started it all. It is located at the intersection of Sarles Street and Byram Lake Road. There is a parking area and trail head near the historic school sign on Sarles Street. There is a trail from this location to Leonard Park in Mt. Kisco. The area outlined in red on the east parcel map below shows the footprint of the sanctuary. The Brookside section is in the upper left and the B Road area is in the middle with connectors between the three areas. Parking areas are indicated by red dots.
The red dots indicate parking areas and entrances to Sanctuary trails.
